MALDORKY PROJECT

The highest grade (30% Fe) Braemar Iron Formation hosted

iron ore project in northeastern South Australia

SUMMARY

Maldorky is a mixed hematite-magnetite iron ore

deposit that contains 147 million tonnes of 30.1% Fe Indicated JORC Mineral Resources.

The soft ore is amenable to upgrading to a high quality

65% Fe fines product that is potentially amenable to pelletising.

FAVOURABLE MINING PARAMETERS

100 metre thick flat slab of iron ore from surface with minor overburden resulting in an exceptionally low waste:ore ratio of 0.19:1 for the proposed open pit mine

FAVOURABLE FOR UPGRADING

Soft, weakly abrasive and low energy processing due to highly fissile nature and the lack of silica     (a carbonate-layered silicate matrix).

HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT

Testwork has confirmed that the iron ore can be upgraded to a low impurity 65% Fe product for an efficient 40% yield and 85-88% overall Fe recovery.

MINING FRIENDLY SA
